Project Canoe use the outdoors, including wilderness canoeing, to create a transformative environment in which youth develop life skills, social competencies, and resiliency, thereby fostering their own personal success. For over 30 years, Project Canoe has continued to partner with youth facing barriers, including mental health issues, learning challenges and social issues related to school and community. The outdoor experiential learning provides youth with individualized opportunities to build upon their unique strengths.  Youth discover personal successes that help them to manage the complex challenges in their lives and chart positive futures for themselves and their communities.
